According to Leah Beno, Vikings S Jayron Kearse was arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion of DUI and for carrying a firearm without a permit.
The Vikings released the following statement:
“We are aware of Jayron’s arrest and are gathering additional information at this time.”
Kearse, 25, was drafted by the Vikings in the seventh round out of Clemson in 2017. He’s in the final year of a four-year, $2.4 million rookie deal and is set to make a base salary of $720,000 for the 2019 season.
In 2019, Kearse has appeared in eight games and recorded 16 total tackles, no sacks or interceptions and two pass defenses.
