The Minnesota Vikings announced that they’ve placed Sย Tommy Armstrong on waivers Friday.

Armstrong, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Nebraska before securing a tryout with the Vikings. Minnesota signed him to a contract a few weeks ago and converted him to safety.
During his four-year career at Nebraska, Armstrong threw for 1,172 yards while completing 53.3 percent of his passes to go along with 67 touchdowns and 44 interceptions. He also contributed 1,819 yards receiving and 23 rushing touchdowns over the course of 45 games.
