Mike Garafolo of USA Today reports that the Redskins have “expressed an interest” in free agent CB Aqib Talib.
Garafolo adds that Washington is will be “making a push” to sign him on Tuesday.
They’ve gone from a negative amount of cap space, to enough that they consider pursuing some of the best available cornerbacks in this year’s free agent market.
New England would reportedly like to keep him, so there figures to be some serious competition for Talib.
Releasing DeAngelo Hall earlier in the day was a big in that regard, but they haven’t ruled out a possible return for him depending on things go in the coming day. Derek Cox is another corner who’s believed to be on their radar as well.
