Washington Placing OL Mike Liedtke On Injured Reserve

The Washington Football Team is placing OL Mike Liedtke on injured reserve, according to his agent.

Per Tessler, Liedtke injured his shoulder. A shoulder injury shuttered the veteran’s 2019 season, though it’s unclear if it’s the same one.

Liedtke, 28, originally signed on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois State back in 2016. He had brief stints with the Chiefs, Jets and Browns before signing on to the Buccaneers’ practice squad towards the end of the 2016 season.

Tampa Bay brought him back on a future/reserve contract for the 2017 season and he’s been on and off of their roster ever since. He re-signed with the team for the 2019 season as an exclusive rights free agent.

Liedtke was not tendered by the Buccaneers as a restricted free agent earlier this offseason. He signed a one-year deal with Washington.

Liedtke missed the entire 2019 season with a shoulder injury that cropped up and needed surgery during training camp.

In 2018, Liedtke appeared in nine games for the Buccaneers, but did not make a start.
