Cowboys S Barry Church Suffers Broken Arm, Done For Year

Cowboys S Barry Church suffered a broken arm during Sunday’s loss to the Bills and obviously miss next week’s season finale against the Redskins.

The good news for Church is that he won’t require surgery on his arm.

“The X-rays were clean,” Church said, via Charean Williams of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “I won’t require surgery or anything like that. Just got to cast it up for a while.

Dallas will likely place him on season-ending injured reserve on Monday.

Church, 27, is in the fourth year of his five-year, $12.94 million contract that includes $3.8 million guaranteed. He’ll make a base salary of $2.75 million this season and next.

Entering today’s game, Church had recorded 110 tackles for the Cowboys over the course of 14 games. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 45 safety out of 86 qualifying players.
