Packers Sign 8 Players To Futures Deals Including LB Carl Bradford

The Green Bay Packers have begun signing some of their practice squad players to future/reserve contracts on Monday.

According to Tom Silverstein, the Packers have already signed four players including TE Mitchell Henry, LB Carl Bradford, G Matt Rotheram and DT Christian Ringo, WR Jamel Johnson, WR Ed Williams, OT Jeremy Vujnovich and DT Williams Campbell.

Green Bay previously signed QB Ryan Williams to a future’s deal.

Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and training camp.

Bradford, 23, is a former fourth round pick of the Packers back in 2014. He managed to make the 53-man roster during his first year in the NFL before being converted to inside linebacker this past year.

The Packers elected to waive Bradford at the start of the 2015 season, but later added him to their practice squad.

Bradford has yet to appear in an NFL game.
