The San Francisco 49ers announced that they have promoted TE Cole Hikutini from their practice squad to the active roster.

Hikutini, 23, signed on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Louisville back in May. He was among the team’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason and signed to their practice squad once clearing waivers.
During his two-year college career at Louisville, Hikutini recorded 69 receptions for 1,016 yards receiving (14.7 YPC) and 11 touchdowns.
