Bears Re-Sign DL John Jenkins, Place DB Deiondre’ Hall On I.R.

The Chicago Bears announced Monday that they’ve re-signed DL John Jenkins and placed DB Deiondre’ Hall on injured reserve.

Chicago also announced a nine-man practice squad that consists of:

  1. WR Tanner Gentry
  2. OL Brandon Greene
  3. DL Rashaad Coward
  4. LB Jonathan Anderson (Exception)
  5. DB DeAndre Houston-Carson
  6. LB Isaiah Irving
  7. OT Dieugot Joseph
  8. LB John Timu (Exception)
  9. OL Cameron Lee

Jenkins, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Saints back in 2013. Jenkins spent three years in New Orleans before he was waived during the 2016 season. He later caught on with the Seahawks and finished out the year in Seattle.

Jenkins was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent when the Bears signed him to a contract a few weeks into free agency. Chicago cut him loose this past weekend.

In 2016, Jenkins appeared in nine games and recorded 13 tackles and no sacks.
