The Chicago Bears announced the release of veteran S Craig Steltz on Monday.

Steltz, 28, signed a one-year contract worth $795,000 with the Bears back in March. He has spent all six of his seasons with Chicago.
Last year, Steltz appeared in all 16 games and recorded 24 tackles for the Bears, but was limited to playing just 47 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.
