Broncos HC John Fox Expected To Be Next In Line For An Extension

Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports mentions that Broncos HC John Fox should be next in line for a contract extension now that the Seahawks have locked up Pete Carroll, according to Ian Rapoport.

Both men faced off in the Super Bowl a few months ago and have done an incredible job of turning their teams in annual contenders.

Previous reports mentioned that the Broncos and Fox’s agent, Bob Lamonte, were expected to discuss an extension at this year’s Scouting Combine. However, there hasn’t been a lot of buzz regarding a new contract since them.

Fox unfortunately underwent heart valve replacement surgery last season, but was able to return after four games. Defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio stepped in and helped the Broncos win three of the four games.

Fox, 59, is entering the final year of his current contract and has led the Broncos to a record of 34-14 (70.8 percent), three AFC West titles and one Super Bowl appearance last season.
