Browns Set On Taking RB Trent Richardson?

Tony Pauline of TFY Draft Insider reports that “a few league insiders” have informed him that the Cleveland Browns are targeting RB Trent Richardson with the #4 overall pick and adds that they’re expected to take the best available receiver at #22 overall.

Grabbing Richardson early makes a lot of sense, considering who they currently have on their roster. General manager Mike Holmgren has been known to pass on wide receivers in year’s past, but you’d have to think that they would considering taking some like  Kendall Wright or Stephen Hill at #22.

There’s been some speculation that Brandon Weeden could also be in play for them at that point, they may still have a shot at him in the early portion of the second-round.

Typically, team’s are doing everything they can to prevent information regarding their draft strategy from leaking, so it’s important to consider that this could just be some more smoke being passed to the media.
