Browns Officially Sign First-Round Pick DT Danny Shelton

Update:

The Cleveland Browns announced Friday that they’ve signed first-round pick DT Danny Shelton to a four-year contract.

Ian Rapoport reports that the Browns have reached an agreement with first-round pick DT Danny Shelton.

According to Rapoport, Shelton receives a four-year contract that includes $11.7 million fully guaranteed and a signing bonus of $6.7 million.

The Browns still have a number of draft picks to get under contract, including fellow first-round selection OL Cameron Erving, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see them make progress on the these contracts in the next few days.

During his four years at Washington, Shelton recorded 208 tackles, 24 tackles for a loss, 11.5 sacks and five pass defenses.
