This comes just a day after reports said that the Cardinals are signing LB Sean Weatherspoon to a contract, so it appears as though Arizona is looking to come away with two linebackers in free agency.
Irving, 26, played out his four-year, $2.735 million contract with the Denver Broncos, and will be an intriguing free agent to watch in the coming weeks.
Irving unfortunately suffered a torn ACL last year, so he could end up being a decent value signing for a team like the Cardinals.
In 2014, Irving was limited to appearing in eight games and recording 46 tackles, one sack and a safety. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 22 inside linebacker out of 60 qualifying players.
We have Irving listed as the No. 54 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
