Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports that the Cardinals have expressed interest in Rams free agent DE William Hayes.
Hayes is an interesting free agent, as he may not be as notable as some of the other free agent pass rushers, but he has been an effective player for the Rams in recent years.
The Dolphins and Panthers have come up as potential suitors for Hayes in the past few weeks, so they could be in the mix for him in the coming days.
Hayes, 30, was drafted by the Titans in the fourth round of the 2008 draft. After playing out his rookie contract, Hayes followed Jeff Fisher to St. Loius.
In 2015, Hayes appeared in all 16 games for the Rams and recorded 54 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 13 edge rusher out of 110 qualifying players.
