Cardinals LB Kevin Minter Interested To See What’s Out There For Him In Free Agency

Cardinals free agent LB Kevin Minter mentioned during an interview with Sirius XM NFL Radio that while he would like to return to Arizona for the 2017 season, he’s also curious to see what’s available in the free agent market.

“I would like to be back with the Cardinals, but I am curious to see what’s out there in free agency,” Minter said.

Interestingly enough, Minter added that he wouldn’t mind playing in New York.

I definitely wouldn’t mind playing in New York,” Minter said, per Sirius Radio. “Coach [Todd] Bowles was the one who essentially drafted me.”

Minter should have a decent market in the coming weeks, considering that he’s one of the best available inside linebackers in this year’s free agent class.

Minter, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2013. He has played out his four-year, $4,390,288 contract with the Cardinals and is now in a position to be an unrestricted free agent.

In 2016, Minter appeared in all 16 games for the Cardinals and recorded 81 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 25 linebacker out of 87 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 100 – 2017 Free Agents list.
