ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Cardinals still plan on starting Kevin Kolb against the Patriots this weekend.
Yesterday, head coach Ken Whisenhunt mentioned that there was still a chance that John Skelton could play this weekend, but the previous reports had him missing 2-4 weeks with a “low” ankle sprain. The injury is obviously not as serious as it could have been, but it would still be surprising to see him back under center without missing a single week.
Kolb will have his hands full against an improved New England defense. If he’s able to post a respectable game, it could go a long way towards him securing additional playing time this season, rather than be supplanted by Skelton once he’s healthy.
