Tessler adds that there were several teams interested in Okpalaugo, but the fit with the Cardinals was ideal.
Okpalaug0, 26, wound up signing on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Fresno State back in 2013. He lasted just a few months in Miami before he was waived and later signed to the Vikings’ practice squad.
The Cowboys elected to him to a future/reserve contract back in January of 2014 before waiving him shortly after the draft.
During his two years with the Toronto Argonauts, Okpalaugo recorded 65 tackles, 23 sacks, five forced fumbles and two interceptions over the course of 31 games.
