Cardinals Signing LB Joplo Bartu

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Cardinals are signing LB Joplo Bartu to a contract on Wednesday.

Bartu was among eight players who tried out for Arizona on Tuesday.

Bartu, 25, signed on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Texas State back in May. He managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason and spent a few months with the team before he was placed on waivers in November of last year.

The Jaguars signed him to a contract towards the end of last season before waiving him during roster cuts. The Lions worked out Bartu last week, but did not sign him to a contract.

In 2015, Bartu has appeared in nine games and recorded 12 tackles for the Falcons and Jaguars.
