Luke Easterling the DraftWire reports that the Cardinals are signing veteran CB Mike Jenkins to a contract.

This is the first reported interest in Jenkins since the free agent market officially opened several months ago.

Jenkins, 31, is a former first-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2008. He spent five years in Dallas before signing on with the Raiders as an unrestricted free agent in 2013.

Just a year later, the Buccaneers signed gave Jenkins a one-year deal and later brought him back on another one-year contract for the 2015 season.

In 2015, Jenkins appeared 14 games for the Buccaneers and recorded 17 tackles, no interceptions and five pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 94 cornerback out of 111 qualifying players.
