Chargers Claim K Nick Rose, Waive K Travis Coons

The Los Angeles Chargers announced Monday that they’ve claimed K Nick Rose off of waivers from the Redskins and waived K Travis Coons.

  • The Chargers also signed LB James Onwualu to the practice squad.

The Chargers’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. G Brett Boyko
  2. WR Andre Patton
  3. WR Artavis Scott
  4. DB Jeff Richards
  5. DB A.J. Hendy
  6. DE Whitney Richardson
  7. C Cole Toner
  8. TE Bradeon Bowman
  9. RB Russell Hansbrough
  10. LB James Onwualu

Rose, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Texans back in May. He was, unfortunately, cut loose coming out of the preseason last year.

The Redskins signed Rose to a contract a few months ago before waiving him last week.

In 2017, Rose has appeared in eight games and converted 10 of 11 field goal attempts (90.9 percent) to go along with 18 of 20 extra point tries.
