Chargers Re-Signing DL Damion Square To A One-Year Deal

Michael Gehlken reports that the Chargers are set to re-sign DL Damion Square to a one-year contract.

San Diego elected to not tender him a contract as a free agent, but were apparently willing to bring him back one a one-year deal anyways.

Square, 26, originally signed on with the Philadelphia Eagles last year as an undrafted free agent out of BYU. He was unable to make the final 53-man roster coming out of the preseason that season, but he was later claimed by the Chiefs.

After a few months in Kansas City, Square was once again waived and this time claimed by the Chargers. San Diego signed him on their practice squad at the start of the season before later calling him up.

In 2015, Square appeared in six games for the Chargers and recorded six tackles and a fumble recovery.
