Chargers Signing Veteran P Donnie Jones, Releasing P Drew Kaser

Adam Schefter reports that the Chargers are signing veteran P Donnie Jones to a contract on Tuesday and releasing P Drew Kaser.

Jones, 38, is a former seventh-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2004. He played for a few teams including the Dolphins, Rams and Texans before signing on with the Eagles for the 2013 season.

Jones was entering the third year of his four-year, $7.25 million contract and set to make a base salary of $1.75 million for the 2018 season when the Eagles placed him on the reserve/retired list and later granted him his release.

For his career, Jones has totaled 50,500 punt yards on 1,110 attempts (45.5 YPA).
