Chiefs Sign Three Players & Waive Two

The Kansas City Chiefs announced a series of moves on Tuesday.

DT Jermelle Cudjo had spent his entire career with the St. Louis Rams after signing as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Central Oklahoma.  He appeared in 38 games over the course of three separate seasons.

DL Kona Schwenke was an undrafted invitee to Chiefs camp out of Notre Dame.  Both he and Cudjo will compete for backup roles along the Kansas City defensive line.

Cudjo and Schwenke join DT Kyle Love, whose signing we covered here Monday, after it was announced by his agency.

To make room for the new signings, DT Cory Grissom and LB Ridge Wilson were released. Grissom spent last season with the New England Patriots, and was signed by the Chiefs after the season.  LB Ridge Wilson spent last season with the Chiefs’s practice squad.
