Colts Activate Peyton Manning From PUP List

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Indianapolis Colts have activated QB Peyton Manning from the team PUP list.

Players who are the PUP to start the season will be forced to miss the first six games of the season so you can see why the Colts would remove him even if he’s unable to play in the season opener against Houston.

Phillip B. Wilson of the Indianapolis Star reports that Manning will begin working out on a “limited basis” and all of his practice activities will be “scripted and on a controlled basis.”

It’s going to be a close call whether Manning will be ready in time but from the sounds of things he still has a ways to go.
