The Indianapolis Colts officially placed rookie WR Trey Griffey on injured reserve Tuesday after he passed through waivers unclaimed.
Griffey, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Colts an undrafted free agent out of Arizona back in May. He stands to make a base salary of $465,000 for the 2017 season.
On Monday, the Colts waived Griffey with an injury designation.
During his college career at Arizona, Griffey caught 79 passes for 1,241 yards receiving and six touchdowns over the course of 35 games.
