Pittsburgh Steelers president Art Rooney II mentioned that signing WR Mike Wallace to a long-term contract extension sits atop the teams offseason priorities, per Scott Brown.
Wallace heads into offseason as a restricted free agent so it will take a lot for any team to pry him away from the Steelers so it would be wise for the team to capitalize on this by negotiating a long-term deal. Problems could arise from their current cap situation but they could address some these issues by renegotiating some of their contracts.
At 25, Wallace is one of the games best-young receivers and is a threat to score on every play. We have Wallace listed as the #14 best available player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
