Cowboys Activate RB Lance Dunbar From PUP List

The Dallas Cowboys officially activated RB Lance Dunbar (knee surgery) from the active/PUP list on Monday, according to Adam Schefter.

Dunbar, 26, signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of North Texas back in 2012. After playing out his rookie contract, Dunbar signed a one-year, $1.542 million contract with the Cowboys as a restricted free agent in April of last year.

However, Dunbar’s 2015 season, unfortunately, came to an end after he sustained a torn ACL while returning a kick a month into the season. Even so, the Cowboys elected to bring him back on a one-year, $1.25 million contract this past March.

In 2015, Dunbar appeared in four games and ran for 67 yards on five carries (13.4 YPC) to go along with 21 receptions for 215 yards receiving. He also contributed 146 kick return yards.
