Cowboys Release FB Jed Collins & Sign FB Tyler Clutts

The Dallas Cowboy have released FB Jed Collins and signed Tyler Clutts to replace him on their roster, according to Todd Archer.

Collins, 29, originally signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out Washington State of back in 2008. Since then, he’s played for the Bears, Browns, Chiefs, Cardinals, Titans, Saints and Lions.

The Cowboys signed him to a contract back in March, so his stay in Dallas was short lived.

In 2014, Collins appeared in all 16 games for the Lions and ran for 19 yards on eight carries (1.2 YPC) to go along with five receptions for 39 yards receiving and a touchdown. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 15 fullback out of 23 qualifying players.
