The Dallas Cowboys officially signed C Shane McDermott to their practice squad on Thursday and placed C Jake Brendel on the practice squad injured list.
The Cowboys’ practice squad now consists of:
- TE Rico Gathers
- C Jake Brendel (Injured)
- WR Andy Jones
- WR Vince Mayle
- QB Jameill Showers
- LB Jeremiah George
- DE Zach Moore
- T Keavon Milton
- DE Chris McCain
- C Shane McDermott
- DB Sammy Seamster
McDermott, 24, originally signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Miami back in May of last year. He lasted just a few months in Dallas before he was cut and later signed to the Panthers’ practice squad.
The Giants would later sign him to a future/reserve contract this past January. However, he was once again cut loose coming out of the preseason and later signed to the team’s practice squad.
McDermott has yet to appear in an NFL game.
