Cowboys Sign RB Trey Williams To Practice Squad

The Dallas Cowboys officially signed RB Trey Williams to their practice squad.

The Cowboys’ practice squad now consists of:

  •  G Kadeem Edwards
  • WR Lance Lenior
  • CB Marquez White
  • WR Brian Brown
  • DB Jameill Showers
  • OT Jarron Jones
  • LB Tre’von Johnson
  • QB Kellen Moore
  • DT Joe Vellano
  • RB Trey Williams

Williams, 25, originally signed on with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M back in 2015. He’s played for a number of teams including the Cowboys, Patriots, Dolphins, and Colts before joining the Steelers this past February on a future/reserve contract.

Unfortunately, the Steelers waived Williams coming out of the preseason. He later signed on to the Cowboys’ practice squad in November before being promoted to the active roster. Dallas elected to waive him earlier this week.

In 2015, Williams appeared in two games and rushed for 12 yards on two carries.
