Cowboys Waive DT Richard Ash From IR With Settlement

The Dallas Cowboys officially waived DT Richard Ash from injured reserve on Friday with an injury settlement.

Ash, 26, signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Western Michigan back in 2015. However, Jacksonville decided to cut him as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit.

Ash was on and off of the Jaguars’ practice squad before the Cowboys signed him to their active roster at the end of the 2016 season. Dallas waived Ash at the start of last season, but he eventually returned to the team and was promoted to the 53-man roster.

The Cowboys, unfortunately, waived Ash with an injury designation a few days ago and he later reverted to injured reserve.

In 2017, Ash appeared in 10 games for the Cowboys and recorded 15 tackles, no sacks and a pass defense.
