Cowboys WR Terrance Williams Suspended Three Weeks

Field Yates of ESPN reports that Cowboys WR Terrance Williams has been suspended for the next three weeks of the NFL season  for violating the NFL’s Substance Abuse Policy.

Williams was placed on injured reserve a few weeks ago.

Williams, 29, is a former third-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2013. He played out the final year of his rookie contract and made a base salary of $1.686 million for the 2016 season before signing a four-year, $17 million contract that included $9.5 million guaranteed.

Williams stands to make base salaries of $3.5 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2018, Williams has appeared in two games for the Cowboys and caught two passes for 18 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
