Darrelle Revis Announces Retirement From NFL

Veteran CB Darrelle Revis announced that he’s retiring from the NFL on Wednesday.

Revis, 33, is a former first-round pick of the Jets back in 2007. He played six years for the Jets before he was traded to the Buccaneers for the 2013 season.

Revis lasted just a year in Tampa Bay before signing on with the Patriots for the 2014 season.

The Jets brought Revis back the following year and he spent another two seasons in New York before he was released. Last year, Revis played in five games for the Chiefs but was released this past February.

For his career, Revis recorded 411 tackles, two sacks, 29 interceptions, 140 pass defenses, four forced fumbles, 12 recoveries and three defensive touchdowns over the course of 11 seasons and 145 games played. He was a seven-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro.
