Dolphins Hosted RB Bobby Rainey For A Visit

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Dolphins hostedĀ free agent OL Stefen Wisniewski for a visit on Thursday.

However, Miami ultimately elected to sign RB Isaiah Pead to a contract this afternoon.

Rainey, 28, wound up signing on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Western Kentucky back in 2012. He spent over a year in Baltimore before being waived at the start of the 2013 season and later claimed by the Browns.

Rainey lasted just a few months in Cleveland before he was once again waived and this time claimed by the Buccaneers.

In 2015, Rainey appeared in all 16 games and ran for 18 yards on five carries (3.6 YPC) to go along with three receptions for 16 yards receiving and no touchdowns. He also contributed 469 kick return yards to go along with 288 punt return yards.
