Dolphins & Richie Incognito Reach An Agreement Regarding A Season-Ending Suspension

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that Richie Incognito has reached an agreement with the Miami Dolphins to remain on the suspended list with pay the remainder of the 2013 season.

Previous reports indicated that an agreement was likely to be reached between the two sides in order to prevent any further issues for the remainder of the season.

NFL investigator Ted Wells has received some addition time to explore the Dolphins’ locker room situation, which means a determination regarding the matter may not come until January.

The Dolphins could only have kept Incognito on the suspended list for a few days into December due to the CBA agreement, which is why an agreement between the two parties was needed.

Last week a report indicated that the Dolphins intend to shop LT Jonathan Martin around the league this weekend. Incognito is unlikely to be retained as well, especially if GM Jeff Ireland is replaced.
