Eagles & Mark Sanchez Have “Strong Mutual Interest” In Him Returning To Philly

Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com reports that Eagles and QB Mark Sanchez have “strong mutual interest” in him being back in Philadelphia next season.

According to Shorr-Parks, it remains to be seen whether the two sides will be able to get a deal in place before the start of free agency on Tuesday.

Sanchez and his rep can begin speaking with prospective teams today, and he is considered to be one of, if not, the best available quarterbacks in this year’s free agent class, so there could be a decent amount of interest in him.

Sanchez, 28, signed a one-year deal worth $2,250,000 contract with the Eagles last year after he was cut loose by the Jets.

In 2014, he wound up appearing in nine games and threw for 2,418 yards while completing 64.1 percent of his passes to go along with 14 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 27 quarterback out of 39 qualifying players.

We have Sanchez listed as the No. 83 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
