Eagles Pick Up WR Nelson Agholor’s Fifth-Year Option

According to Albert Breer, the Eagles have exercised WR Nelson Agholor‘s fifth-year option for the 2019 season.

The fifth-year option will run the Eagles $9,387,000 for the 2019 season. It’s worth mentioning that the fifth-year option is only guaranteed for injury and won’t prevent the two parties from working on a long-term extension in the next year or so.

Agholor, 24, is a former first-round pick out of USC by the Eagles in the 2015 NFL Draft. He is entering the final year of his four-year, $ 9.377 million rookie contract and is set to earn a base salary of $1,713,732 million for 2018.

In 2017, Agholor appeared in all 16 games for the Eagles and recorded 62 receptions for 768 yards receiving (12.4 YPC) and eight touchdowns. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 24 overall wide receiver out of 116 qualifiers.
