Eagles RB Darren Sproles Could Miss 3-4 Weeks With Hamstring injury

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Eagles RB Darren Sproles, who re-injured his hamstring this week, is expected to miss multiple weeks with the injury.

According to Rapoport, the Eagles plan to be cautious with Sproles and ensure that he’s good to go once he’s ready to return. However, Rapoport says one estimate he got regarding Sproles pegged his timetable at 3-4 weeks.

Sproles, 35, is a former fourth-round pick of the Chargers back in 2005. He spent five years in San Diego before signing on with the Saints in 2011. New Orleans later traded him to the Eagles for the 2014 season.

Sproles played out the final year of his two-year, $8 million contract before signing a one-year, $1.415 million contract with the Eagles this past April.

In 2018, Sproles has appeared in one game for the Eagles and rushed for 10 yards on five carries to go along with four receptions for 22 yards and no touchdowns.
