Eagles Reportedly Made An Offer For Dolphins DE Dion Jordan A Few Months Ago

Bob Grotz of the Delaware County Times, citing a “respected NFL source,” reports that the Eagles made an offer close to two months ago for Dolphins DE Dion Jordan.

According to Grotz, the Eagles are believed to have offered Miami a second-round pick and DE/OLB Brandon Graham in return for Jordan.

The Dolphins sent the Raiders their No. 12 and No. 42 overall picks for right to take Jordan No. 3 overall.

Jason La Canfora previously reported that the Dolphins were “gauging” the trade value of Jordan a few months ago.

There was a lot of talk that Jordan would be a great fit in Chip Kelly’s defense given that he coached Jordan for a few years at Oregon, so it shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to hear that the Eagles may have interest in Jordan.

Jordan, 24, still has three years remaining on his four-year, $20.572 million contract. He played just 339 snaps for the Dolphins last season, according to Pro Football Focus and totaled 26 tackles and two sacks over the course of 16 games.
