Frank Gore Wants To Return For 2019 Season, Won’t Need Surgery For Foot Injury

Adam Schefter reports that Dolphins RB Frank Gore wants to return for his 15th season in the NFL next year.

Gore received some good news from doctors in recent days, as it was determined that he won’t need to undergo surgery for his foot injury and should be recovered in a few weeks.

The Dolphins placed Gore on season-ending injured reserve last week.

Gore, 35, is a former third-round pick of the 49ers back in 2005. He spent 10 seasons in San Francisco before signing a three-year, $12 million contract that included $7.5 million guaranteed with the Colts back in 2015.

Gore played out the final year of his contract before agreeing to a one-year, $1.015 million contract with the Dolphins this past March. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent again in 2019.

In 2018, Gore has appeared in 14 games for the Dolphins and rushed for 722 yards on 156 carries (4.6 YPC) to go along with 12 receptions for 124 yards receiving and one touchdown.
