Giants Place LB J.T. Thomas On PUP List

The New York Giants have placed LBĀ J.T. Thomas on the active/physically unable to perform list on Friday, according to James Kratch.

The Giants can activate him at any time from the list once he’s healthy and ready to practice.

Thomas, 28, is a former sixth-round pick of the Bears back in 2011. He spent a few years in Chicago before joining the Jaguars in 2013 and later signing a three-year, $10 million contract that included $4.5 million guaranteed back in 2015.

Thomas is in the final year of his contract and stands to make a base salary of $2.975 million for the 2017 season.

In 2016, Thomas was limited to appearing in just one game after he was placed on injured reserve with torn ligaments in his left knee.
