Jaguars Down To Just Two Players For No. 2 Overall Pick

Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell mentioned during a phone interview that they’re now considering only two players at No.2 overall, via the Florida Times Union.

“We’re pretty close — it’s down to two people,” said Caldwell.

Caldwell would be surprised if they had an opportunity to trade out of the No. 2 pick, but added that there could be “some action” in regards to their No. 33 overall selection.

The only people who are reportedly aware of the team’s thinking include Caldwell, team owner Shad Khan, and head coach Gus Bradley.

Oregon DE/OLB Dion Jordan, BYU DE Ziggy Ansah and West Virginia QB Geno Smith have been mentioned as speculative options for the Jaguars in round one.

We have Jacksonville taking Jordan at No. 2 overall in our 2013 NFL Mock Draft.
