According to Darryl Slater of NJ.com, the Jets are among four teams that offered contracts to free agent CB K’Waun Williams in recent weeks.

The other three teams are unidentified as of now, and Slater says it remains unclear how these offers stack up against one another.

Although, Slater’s source said that a decision from Williams is expected to come later this week.

Williams has visited with the Lions and Jets and reportedly has meetings scheduled with the 49ers, Vikings and Dolphins. The Saints were also mentioned as a team that could have interest in Williams.

Williams, 25, wound up signing on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Pittsburgh back in 2014. He was in the final year of his three-year, $1.53 million contract when the Browns cut him loose during the preseason as they trimmed their roster down to 75 players.

Williams was later claimed off of waivers by the Bears, but he failed a physical due to his ankle injury and was cut loose a day later.

Williams filed a grievance against the Browns for how things played out this summer.

In 2015, Williams appeared in 13 games and recorded 39 tackles, one sack, three forced fumbles, two recoveries and two pass defenses.
