Jets CB Rashard Robinson Suspended Four Games

The NFL announced Wednesday that Jets CB Rashard Robinson has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2018 regular season for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.

Robinson will be eligible to return to the Jets’ active roster on Monday, October 1 following the team’s September 30 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Robinson is eligible to participate in all preseason practices and games.

This stems from a 2017 arrest in which he was charged with drug possession and carelessly driving.

Robinson, 23, is a former fourth-round pick of the 49ers back in 2016. He is entering the final year of his four-year, $2.72 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $630,000 for the 2018 season.

San Francisco traded him to the Jets back in October of last year in exchange for a 2018 fifth-round pick.

In 2017, Robinson appeared in 14 games for the Jets and recorded 29 tackles, one interception, a forced fumble, a recovery and seven pass defenses.
