Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that Jets ILB David Harris could miss some time after he suffered a sprained AC joint during Sunday’s loss to the Chargers.

Harris is still scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday, and X-rays came back negative, but there appears to be enough of a concern regarding this injury that he could miss a few games.

Harris, 30, is in the final year of his four-year, $36 million contract that included $29.5 million guaranteed. His base salary for the 2014 season sits at $4.9 million.

Over the course of five games, Harris  has recorded 39 tackles, one sack, and a forced fumble. However, Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 51 inside linebacker out of 61 qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding Harris’ injury as the news is available.
