Jets Worked Out S Maurice Alexander

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Jets worked out free agent S Maurice Alexander this week.

This is the first reported interest in Alexander since he recently became available.

Alexander, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Rams back in 2014. He was in the four-year, $2,684,260 contract and set to make a base salary of $690,000 for the 2017 seasons when the Rams elected to waive him last week to make room for WR Mike Thomas, who was reinstated from suspension.

In 2017, Alexander has appeared in four games and recorded 20 tackles and no interceptions or pass defenses for the Rams.
