Jets WR Terrelle Pryor Recently Underwent Foot Surgery

According to Ian Rapoport, Jets WR Terrelle Pryor, who was seen sporting a walking boot on his foot Tuesday, recently underwent a minor cleanup procedure on his foot.

However, Rapoport says that Pryor is expected to be ready for the start of training camp of next month.

Last we heard regarding Pryor, Manish Mehta reported that he suffered another ankle injury this offseason, which is why he wasn’t taking part in OTAs.

Pryor dealt with ankle issues last year and wound up undergoing surgery in November, so this is clearly disappointing news for him and the Jets.

Pryor, 28, was taken by the Raiders in the third round of the 2011 supplemental draft. He lasted a little over three years in Oakland before he was traded to the Seahawks for a seventh-round pick that ultimately became DB Jonathan Dowling.

Pryor briefly played for the Chiefs and Bengals before later being claimed off of waivers by the Browns. Cleveland elected to cut him loose to make room for RB Robert Turbin last year before bringing him back.

The Browns signed him to a one-year, $1.67 million restricted deal in 2016 before he departed for a one-year, $6 million contract with the Redskins last year.

Pryor signed a one-year contract with the Jets this offseason worth $4.5 million with $2 million guaranteed.

In 2017, Pryor appeared in nine games for the Redskins and caught 20 passes for 240 yards receiving and one touchdown.
