Joe Flacco (Hip) More Day To Day Than Week To Week, Week 11 Status Still Uncertain

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Ravens QB Joe Flacco was spotted on crutches due to the injury he’s currently dealing with. However, Rapoport says that Flacco is actually “more day to day than week to week.”

Of course, if Flacco is able to practice Wednesday, it’s probably a good bet he is going to play,” Rapoport said. “But they do not know if he’ll be able to practice. And also, the Ravens are kinding of relishing the uncertainty with their QB situation — what opponents will have to prepare for.”

“It would not be surprising either way if Lamar Jackson gets increased snaps whether starting for Flacco or even if Flacco plays,” added said.

Meanwhile, Adam Schefter reports that Flacco could be unable to play next Sunday against the Bengals and even beyond, but there is no specific timetable yet on how long he’ll be sidelined.

In fact, a source tells Schefter that if the Super Bowl were next week, he believes Flacco could play.

Flacco, 33, is a former first-round pick of the Ravens back in 2008. He’s currently in the third year of a six-year, $125 million contract that contained $44 million guaranteed. He is set to make a base salary of $12 million this season to go along with another $18.5 million (2019), $20.25 (2020) million, $24.25 million (2021).

In 2018, Flacco has appeared in nine games and completed 61.2 percent of his passes for 2,465 yards to go along with 12 touchdowns and six interceptions for the Ravens. He has also rushed for 45 yards.

We’ll have more regarding Flacco as the news is available.
