John Skelton Looks To Solidify Cardinals Starting QB Job

Cardinals quarterback John Skelton will get his final opportunity to lock down the team’s starting quarterback job. Skelton, who is in competition with Kevin Kolb to be team’s starter, will have a chance to assure the Cardinals coaches that he’s the man for the job tonight.

“I think that anyone competing in anything knows the consequences of what is going on, whether it’s out in the open and everyone is talking about it or you keep it to yourself. You know it’s out there,” said Skelton, via Darren Urban of azcardinals.com

While Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt hasn’t announced the team’s starting quarterback, it would seem likely that Skelton will be named the team’s starter sometime in the near future. So far this preseason, Skelton has out-shined Kolb, by completing 10 of 15 passes for 90 yards with a touchdown and an interception to Kolb’s five completions on 15 attempts for 47 yards and an interception.
