Kevin Stefanski In “Strong Position” For Vikings’ OC Job, Giants Also Interested

According to Ben Goessling of the Star-Tribune, Vikings QBs coach Kevin Stefanski is in “strong position” to be the team’s new offensive coordinator.

However, Goessling adds that Pat Shurmur is also interested in hiring Stefanski as his offensive coordinator with the Giants, which could factor into the equation.

A source close to the situation tells Chris Tomasson that the Vikings will most likely wait until next week to announce their next offensive coordinator.

The candidates to take over for Pat Shurmur as the Vikings’ coordinator include Stefanski, Darrell Bevell, Dan Campbell and Sean Ryan.

Stefanski, 35, began his NFL coaching career as an operations intern with the Eagles back in 2005. He was later hired by the Vikings as an assistant to head coach a year later.

Stefanski had held a number of positions with the Vikings including TEs coach and RBs coach before he was promoted to QBs coach last year.

We’ll have more regarding the Vikings’ offensive coordinator job as the news is available.
